Making Kwatsaduza proud

Thabo Maseko and Jack Serame are training hard to prepare for the cross country

Duduza athlete, Jack Serame (26), made his home town proud in April last year after he won a silver medal during the Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town.

Jack and Thabo Maseko are now training hard to prepare for the Cross Country in Orange Farm next Saturday.

The two young athletes say despite not having training shoes and tracksuits, this does not kill their dreams of becoming the country’s top athletes.

The two will be completing in the 4km running category. They promise the Kwatsaduza community to perform well in the competition.

“Our hard work will not be all for nothing, we will make Duduza proud,” said Thabo.

Adding that after the cross country, they will start to prepare for the Gauteng Challenge to take place on September 27.
