Ayoba clip Mighty Falcons’ wings
The Springs Local Football Association (SLFA) game between the Mighty Falcons and Ayoba ended in 2-1.
The super division game was played on Sunday at the KwaThema Sports Complex.
The soccer fans came out in large numbers to give their support to the teams.
There was no doubt that the game was one of the interesting games that was played at the sports complex on the day.
What was more interesting about the game was to see how the Mighty Falcons would handle the SLFA games as the team is new in the league. It was clear to everyone that both teams trained hard during the week to prepare for their game.
The game was not easy for either team and they both struggled to put the ball behind the net.
It was a few minutes before the end of the first half when Ayoba’s Sandile Mahlangu scored the first goal for the team.
The Falcons came back with more energy and attack during the second half of the game to ensure that they registered a goal under their name.
Things did not go well for Ayoba as Mzwakhe Msheke Mbonani was given a red card after playing hard on a Falcon’s player.
Ayoba had to play with one player out of the field and that seemed to have worked for the Falcons as they scored an equalising goal through Sibusiso Nhlapho.
Just when no-one thought that Ayoba would be able to score another goal, the tables turned when Ntokozo Mgidi scored a second goal for the team.
The whistle was blown to end the game with Ayoba winning by 2-1.
