Valencia wins 2-1 against Young Masters
The U/13 Springs Local Football Association (SLFA) game between the Young Masters and Valencia on Saturday ended with a 2-1 score.
The extremely hot sun seemed to affect the players on the field.
It was not an easy game for either team, but there had to be a winner.
The first goal of Valencia that was put behind the net by Tumelo Masha drew interest from the soccer fans at the KwaThema Sports Complex.
It was only 15 minutes after Tumelo’s goal when Bongani Nxokweni of Young Masters scored an equalising goal.
The first half of the game ended with a draw score of 1-1.
In the second half, Valencia looked determined to win the game.
They scored a second goal through Athi Matywabe’s right foot.
Attempts by the Young Masters to score another goal did not work as time was against them and the referee blew the whistle to end the game.
Valencia went home with a winning score of 2-1.
