Early scoring for Early birds
The Springs Local Football Association (SLFA) game between the Early Birds and Bolton Villa ended with a 3-2 overall score.
The game was played on Saturday at the KwaThema Sports Complex where the supporters came in large numbers to give support to their U/15 players.
While everyone thought that no team was ready to put the ball behind the net, Early Birds’ Ameldia Afrika scored the first goal of the game.
Because Bolton Villa was also eager to register a goal under its name, Siyabonga Nhlapho scored an equalising goal.
The songs of victory were heard sung by many supporters to give more support to the players on the pitch.
The referee blew the whistle to end the first half of the game.
During the second half, the Bolton Villa players showed fatigue,especially their defence.
The second goal by the Early Birds was put behind the net by Awethu Petela when he was granted a penalty by the referee.
Despite the Birds’ second goal, the Bolton Villa’s supporters continued to show their strong support for their team.
The songs sang to praise Bolton Villa seemed to do the trick, giving them more energy to the players as Thato Mnisi scored an equalising goal.
The Early Birds’ eagerness to win the game was confirmed by the team’s third goal that was scored by Hezekiel Khoza.
A few minutes after Hezekiel’s goal, the game was over.
Early Birds went home with a 3-2 victory.
