Mayweather is ready for unification fight

Mxolisi ‘Mayweather’ Nombewu from Geo Maroon Boxing Club will be defending his International bantam-weight championship title in East London.

His fight will take place on Sunday at the East London Orient Theatre.

To ensure that he keeps his gold belt, Mayweather has started to train to ensure that he is ready for the challenge ahead.

He was crowned the new International bantam-weight champion on August 30.

He said he is confident that he will come back with a win.

“People of Kwatsaduza should wait to see me coming back with WBF and IBO championship belts,” he said.

“No one will take my IBO belt away from me, I will defend my title and make residents of Gauteng proud,” Mayweather said.

In his unification fight, Mayweather will be fighting against Mfusi Maxhayi.

Mayweather’s coach, Themba Zulu, said he is also confident that Mayweather will defend his title.
