Ayoba amazes on the pitch

KwaThema- Ayoba successfully defended their title as U/11 champions in a match against Bolton Villa on Saturday.

Despite the freezing weather, the Springs Local Football Association (SLFA) game was attended by a large crowd of fans.

The game, held at the KwaThema Sports Complex, kicked off with both teams desperate to win.

Ayoba, who were under pressure to defend their title, struggled to score a goal as Villa tightened its defence.

This ensured every possible goal was intercepted before a striker had the chance to put it in the net.

The first half ended in a goalless draw.

During the second half, Ayoba fought back, determined to remain the champions.

Ayoba were awarded a penalty kick after a foul by a Villa player in the penalty box.

This foul was to cost Boltan Villa dearly.

Ayoba nominated Siya Dlamini to take the penalty kick, and he received plenty of encouragement from Ayoba’s coaches on the sidelines.

Dlamini did not disappoint and scored.

The game ended in a 1-0 score to Ayoba.

The U/11’s victory on Saturday follows that of the team’s recent Super Division League game when they defeated Langaville FC and were crowned the champions.
