Only two games stand in Valencia’s way to the top

KwaThema - Only two games stand in the way of Valencia being promoted to the next division.

The team’s win on Saturday against Tembisa Sports Centre not only gained the team more respect, but also put them in a good position on the SAB log.

Tembisa Sports Centre is renowned for being one of the strongest teams in the SAB league.

Valencia, however, proved they were stronger.

From the start of the game, Tembisa seemed to be attacking more than the home team, and were the first to score a goal.

A successful penalty kick by Thabiso Marumo for Valencia equalised the score.

Tembisa came back to score a second goal, which put them in the lead.

Valencia turned the tables and Sizwe Madlala scored two goals for Valencia, putting the final score at 3-2 to the home team.

The team also won their game against the African Gunners, in Tembisa, on Sunday.

Two games remain, and if the team win both, they will qualify to participate in the ABC Motsepe League promotion play-offs.
