Exciting game ends in a draw
Tsakane - Neither team wanted a defeat in the Tsamaya League game between Extension Eight and Deep Level on Sunday.
The game was played at Malandela Ground in Tsakane.
Extension Eight came out attacking and made life difficult for their opponents.
Both teams, however, failed to score during the first half, and the game became more interesting in the second half.
Even though the teams struggled to put the ball into the back of the net, the support from their fans gave them the energy to keep trying.
The first goal of the game was scored by Extension Eight’s Sipho Msimang.
While his goal left the Deep Level’s supporters disappointed, they were not giving up on their team.
Not long after this, Deep Level’s Morgan Mandlanzi scored a goal to level the score.
The tension and eagerness to win was written on the faces of the supporters off the pitch, and they all shouted advise to the players on the field.
Zweli Voya of Extension Eight scored a second goal for his team, putting them back in the lead.
Deep Level’s Mzwakhe Nyawo scored a second goal for his team 15 minutes before the end of the game.
The exciting game ended in a 2-2 draw.
