Striders welcome support
KwaThema - The KwaThema Striders participated in the Delotte Marathon, in Pretoria, last Saturday, when all the present club members qualified for the Comrades Marathon, in May.
Club coach Morapeng Kodisang says the team’s hard work has paid off and they are looking forward to all their upcoming races.
“It gives us so much joy to go and compete at big marathon races, because we want to encourage community members to be active and have fun while taking care of their bodies,” he says.
“We reiterate, once again, that all community members, young and old, are welcome to join the club.”
Club members are currently preparing for the Om Die Dam Marathon, that will take place in the North West next weekend.
The club is appealing to community members who are interested in coming out to support them at races to do so.
“We would appreciate our community coming out and showing support when we go to races, this will boost our confidence when we are running,” adds Kodisang.
