Geluksdal beats Skoomboys
KwaThema - Geluksdal walked away victorious after their encounter with Skoomboys in a Tsamaya League match on Sunday.
The intense match was played at the Tlakula Grounds in KwaThema, with both teams playing some quality football in the first half.
However, Sibusiso Malinga of Skoomboys put his team in the lead when he scored the opening goal within the first 10 minutes.
Shortly after, Geluksdal utalised an opportunity created by a mistake by Skoomboys and bagged their equalising goal, which was scored by Ronnie ‘Slow’ Reeds.
Over the next 20 minutes Geluksdal overtook Skoomboys to score their second goal which put them in the lead.
As the first half ended the score board remained at 2-1.
In the second half, Skoomboys attempted to catch up, creating more attempts at goals, but they failed to utalise the opportunities.
This allowed for Benedict Sikhosana to sneak in the third goal for Geluksdal.
Skoomboys came back fighting as they were not prepared to loose their home game on a low score and 10 minutes before the game came to an end, Skoomboys’ Mncedisi Moroe scored a second goal for the team.
At the end of the match Geluksdal walked away with a win in hand and three points.
