Jealous Down loses to Sunder United
KwaThema – Jealous Down suffered a 1-0 loss against Sunder United in the Premier League match last Sunday.
Sunder United supporters left the KwaThema Sports Complex singing victory songs after the nail-biting match.
In the first half Jealous Down players seemed more confident about their football technique as they dribbled and passed the ball to each other with ease.
Sunder United seemed unsure about a strategy to implement to outplay their opponents.
The game slowly gained momentum when Sunder United started fighting back for ball possession.
During the fight to get goals in, Lungisani Thusi was given a red card for kicking Jealous Down’s striker.
Going into the second stanza, Sunder United came onto the pitch with a waterproof plan to silence Jealous Down supporters.
After a goalless first half Sunder United players were persistent in trying to register a goal that would put them in the lead.
As the game progressed to the final minutes, Sunder United’s Nelson Moleko sealed a goal for his team, encouraging spectators to break into song.
Leading the match Sunder United players maintained their dominance on the pitch, which made Jealous Down players lose their presence in the game.
The referee blew the whistle to end the game before Sunder United could register another goal to extend their 1-0 lead.
