Kwatsaduza soccer coaches attend workshop

Kwatsaduza - About 100 Kwatsaduza coaches attended a Local Football Association coaches workshop at Tsakane Stadium on Saturday.

The training was done on behalf of SAFA Ekurhuleni and the Ekurhuleni Metro where for two days, coaches were trained in the theory of coaching, methods and principles of training and practicals, physical components and training, match and player evaluation and endurance exercises among other things.

Practicals for the coaches were then conducted on the second day of the workshop.

“After the workshop the coaches were assessed and now we are just waiting for them to be certified.

“This also forms part of the preparations for the licensing of coaches and to add them to the database of our local coaches so we can have technical committees and squads for upcoming tournaments.

“It is humbling to see how much coaches are hungry for football education and it is encouraging to get such a response, commitment and passion from the young and old coaches,” says the regional technical officer of Ekurhuleni, coach Innocent Mayoyo.

The next workshop will be held in Kathorus on July 9 and 10 at Huntersfield from 8.30am.
