Neo a finalist in Gauteng Sports Awards
Neo decided to start doing something that will keep him active not knowing that he had just found his golden key.

KwaThema – Neo Ndlovu from the KwaThema Disability Sports Club has been nominated for the best sportsman with a disability of the year in the Gauteng Sports Awards and he is one of the top three finalists.
Neo said he fell in love with athletics when he decided to get active in 2016 when he was 19.

Today, at 22, he still finds motivation in his friends and family to continue to work hard.
He competes in the 100m, 200m and 400m events.
He says athletics has helped him to focus and has taught him respect towards others.
He started training with Benoni Northens Athletics Club in 2016 where he trained until, later that year, when he moved to his current club because of the different track and field activities they offer.
He dreams of one day becoming a Paralympian and starting a sports academy for disabled and able-bodied children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

“I’m excited about the awards.
“Everyone keeps on saying I will come home with the award,” he says.
