Duduza – Italian 2 Touch, the u-15 local team was over the weekend crowned u-15 Ekurhuleni League champions.

The team was promoted to the league in 2017 after winning the u-13 Nigel Football Association championships.

Team coach Lebogang Lebese is proud of the team. He says this is because playing for the first time in the Ekurhuleni league, they won the championships.

“This shows that the hours of hard work and dedication we put in during practice and during the games is paying off.

“Football is not only about chasing the ball, but it also teaches the young players discipline.

“We are also teaching them to be responsible. We keep them off the streets corners where they might end up committing a crime and engaging in substance abuse,” he says.
