Bayoyo Athletics Academy runners place in top 12 at Krugersdorp athletics meeting.

“When they get beaten like they were, it encourages them to work harder,” concludes coach Charles Vilakazi.

KwaThema – Athletes from the Bayoyo Athletics Academy attended an athletics meeting in Krugersdorp on February 2, where they took part in the 800m and 1 500m events.

Coach Charles Bayoyo Vilakazi says, “They did okay, placing in the top 12.”

He says he is happy with their performance because they were competing against strong athletes.

“Their times were not good when compared to those of their competitors but when you look at their personal times, you can tell that there is an improvement,” he continues.

The coach also says that he is looking at the silver lining in this cloud.
