Amakhosi kept the mometum going at the Shell Helix Ultra Cup game

Chiefs win Shell Helix Ultra Cup by 4 - 2 against Sundowns on Saturday.

Kwatsaduza – Sundowns fans were left weeping after enduring a massive beating from Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

Amakhosi were crowned Shell Helix Ultra Cup champions at the First National Bank stadium (FNB).

The full-time score was 4-2, with Leonard Castro and Khama Billiat keeping their rivals on their toes.

The defending champions made changes to their regular line due to players been called off for the national team Bafana Bafana.

Teka Matsepane, the exuberant Kaizer Chiefs supporter who could not hide his excitement, says, “I am over the moon. The squad was on fire and there is no denying that come end of season we are going to walk away as champions as well. I am very impressed with Philani Zulu; he came back strong and focused.”

Former Sundowns player Leonard Castro scored three points for Kaizer Chiefs.

Mmes Ramushu, a Sundowns supporter from Great Springs Branch, says they might have lost but the game must go on.

“Losing isn’t first with us. They had an advantage because most of our players are playing at national level, but overall we happy with the introduction of the new talent and we trust they will do much better next time,” says Ramushu.
