Police on the hunt for suspects who bombed Standard Bank ATM at Shoprite

Another ATM bombing in KwaThema

KwaThema – Police are looking for suspects after one of the ATMs outside Shoprite on Shabangu Street was bombed on Wednesday morning.

At about 2.30am, police received a call anonymously from a member of the community reporting what sounded like an explosion.

On arrival, police found a damaged ATM belonging to Standard Bank.

Upon further investigation it was revealed no cash was taken.

Police urge any person who may have information to contact KwaThema SAPS on 011 812 4600 or the crime stop number 08600 10 111.The community is further encouraged to use the SAPS App for tip-offs and can do anonymously.
