House of Tinkerbell ready for action

House of Tinkerbell to reopen soon

House of Tinkerbell was forced to temporarily close its doors due to the lockdown in March.

Many of the mixed martial athletes who frequent the gym became frustrated and has to exercise at home.

To help his students, founder and coach at House of Tinkerbell, JP Kruger, and other coaches posted instructional videos on Facebook for young and older fighters alike to practice at home on their siblings or parents.

Similar videos were hosted on Zoom.

The gym is now, however, ready for action.

Classes will be different as there will be non-contact training until further notice.

Also, no spectators will be allowed to ensure the safety of everyone.

Kruger says: “We have been given a compliance letter and all coaches are super excited to have all of the champs back with us.

“Obviously there are going to be a lot of changes in the gym.

“We will also have to practice social distancing and ensure we have much smaller groups.”

All athletes will be eager to start training again, and hopefully enter competitions in the not too distant future.
