Running club open to residents

“We understand that there are members who enjoy running but don't want to be affiliated to a running club. This is their answer,” he added.

Kwa-Thema – Sunday Crew Running Club is calling on residents of all ages who enjoy running to join their club.
The club was formed two years ago during lockdown to help runners keep fit in their own spaces.
The group can be seen on Sundays on the streets of Kwatsaduza in bright colours, motivating residents to join the club.
Club member Thabo Moseledi explained the club is not registered and allows for every resident to participate.

“The members are from different running clubs from across Ekurhuleni who came together with the objective of having fun while keeping fit.
“We understand that there are members who enjoy running but don’t want to be affiliated to a running club. This is their answer,” he added.
Moseledi also urged none runners to join their movement.
“It doesn’t matter how old are you, the thought that you want to take control of your health is your first step,” he said.

It is never too late to join Sunday Crew Running Club.

The club will be hosting a sports day where participants will take part in a 10km, 15km and 21km fun run and walk that will be followed by an aerobics marathon.
The session will start at Vergenoeg shops at 06:00. People of all ages are invited.
