Youth urged to play golf

They previously met at the Pollak Park Golf Club in Springs but have since introduced other venues.

Kwatsaduza – The Monday and Thursday Social Club is calling on youth interested in golf to join them.
The golf club is made up of pensioners and unemployed people from Kwatsaduza and neighbouring areas who meet up on Mondays and Thursdays for a game of golf.
They previously met at the Pollak Park Golf Club in Springs but have since introduced other venues, such as the Springs Country Club, Royal Oak Country Club, Benoni Country Club and State Mines Country Club.
“We are looking for players who are committed because golf needs patience, commitment and love. Not people who will find excuses not to participate.

“With that in mind, we are urging people to give it a try,” said chairperson of the club Chris Nkosi.
They partake in various competitions and accumulate money to have prizes.
The club is also looking to empower women.
In terms of ages, Nkosi said they are not at liberty to categorise people in age groups, as it will minimise the competition.
However, interested individuals may contact him on 083 600 0572.
They start from as early as 08:30 and leave the venue around 15:00.
