Springs Home Sweepers wins home game

Springs Homes Sweepers played to a 1-0 win against Mathaithai FC.

Kwa-Thema – Springs Home Sweepers FC ladies team is putting up a fight to show their opponents that dynamite comes in small packages.
The team played to a 1-0 win against Mathaithai FC from Atteridgeville in Tshwane during the Sasol League games at Kwa-Thema Stadium on Sunday.
The win saw the team moving up the log to position four.
The team’s technical director, Mkhonza Mkhonzana said this was not their best game.

“The past two games we might have lost but we were in control and gave a good fight.
“I could see that my players were still anxious to win the game with the pressure to be able to move up the log.
“They didn’t have control of the game and kept making mistakes but luck was on our side.
“Fortunately, Mpho Motloung managed to score the winning goal within five minutes in the second half,” he explained.
Mkhonza added he is hoping for an improvement over the season as the game is the best teacher.
“I know they are capable, they have to settle in and understand that their ages are their main weapon to winning the league,” he said.
The team has played four games to date, won two, played to a draw once and lost two.
They have collected six points out of the 12.
The team will lock horns with Wits University at Kwa-Thema Stadium on Sunday at 15:00.
