Teams are invited to register for tournament

Kwatsaduza – Teams are urged to register for the upcoming Sibiya Masehla Top 16 Soccer Tournament that will take place from August 27 at Kwa-Thema Ext Three Sports Ground.
To take part teams are advised to register before August 26. Admission is R1 000 per team.
The tournament is organised by Bambolwami Sibiya and Ali Masehla who said they want to bring back tournaments throughout Ekurhuleni.
“This tournament is not for entertainment purposes only, but reviving the sport in our community.
“It’s about community development, a display of local talent with hopes of them being identified by scouts.
“Entertainment comes as a bonus,” explained Sibiya.

There will be a ladies’ soccer challenge as well during the tournament. The winning team for the ladies will receive R10 000.
The winning team will walk away with R50 000, the second will get R10 000 and the third position team will get soccer equipment.
“We have hosted before but not on this level. The goal is to ensure that soccer is active in the township.
“This time we are trying to attract a large number of people to take part,” said Sibiya.
