Local club in need of donations

The Langaville club is asking the community to lend a helping hand.

Langaville – A newly launched football club is in dire need as they plead with the community to lend a helping hand.
The Shine On Us Football Club is asking for financial help as well as the donations of soccer kits and training equipment for their U11, 13 and 15 players.
They have more than 60 players signed to the club.
The Ext Eight-based team was launched on June 18 by founder Vusumuzi Radinne.
Radinne said he launched the club to remove young people in his area off the streets.

“Drugs have taken over our communities and this is evident when one takes a look at our youth today.
“This is why recreational projects such as ours are important.
“Sport plays a vital role in shaping the lives of young people as it exposes them to a lot of positive things.
“Such as education, friendship, discipline and exercise,” explained Radinne.
He said getting the club off the ground hasn’t been easy due to a lack of funds.
That and also poor sports infrastructure in Langaville.
“Our goal is to compete on a provincial level against teams like Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
“To get our players out of the township and let them explore the world,” he added.
