The event will kick-start with an aerobics marathon in which residents and parents will be participating.

There will also be a demonstration of wheelchair tennis and paraplegic running.

Kwa-Thema Disability Club coach Aubrey Mathibela said they are hoping through the event that residents will understand their sports better.

“We are inviting everyone to participate and support the event. Many still don’t understand our sports and so we hope to answer many questions,” he added.

The squad to represent Gauteng during the Toyota Nation Championships for the Physically Disabled, which will be hosted in Cape Town, will be announced on the day.
