Total Success shines in provincial tournament
Team coach Lwazi Xundu of Total Success Boxing club said he is proud of the boxers even those who didn’t win.
Tsakani – Total Success Boxing Club continues to dominate tournaments with their winning streak, with the latest win by Sipho “The Volcano” Mahlangu vs Siyabonga Nkosi.
This was during the provincial boxing championships hosted by the Alberton Boxing Club.
He went to head to head against Nkosi from Middelburg Boxing Club in Mpumalanga winning the fight with points.
The Volcano said he used the opportunity diligently even though it was a difficult fight.
“I won because I was physically and emotionally ready because of the hard work we put in during training.
“I normally stop my opponents in the earlier rounds, but in this fight I decided not to finish the bout before the last round,” he added.
In another fight, Thando Madi lost against Kabukala Tsamala from Alberton Boxing Club. He said he is happy about how the fight went down though he lost on points.
“I fought till the last bell and gave it my all, I could have done more in the first round. I have learned a lesson and will do better in other fights,” he added.

“I know losing sucks but it is not the end of the road. We still have a lot of work to do and this is just a learning curve for my boxer but next time we will overcome,” he added.
