ERA on 152 overall points

Tsakani – The East Rand Athletic Club (ERA) from Tsakani has been doing well in the Gauteng Development Promotional League (GDPL) games.

ERA has been playing in the GDPL for three seasons and hopes to make it to the Gauteng Development League (GDL) where big teams’ developments play.

Team manager Thabo Hlabathi said they are leading the Stream A at 152 overall points with four divisions.

“Qualifying for GDL will be a great deal as it will give our players exposure,” he said.

On Saturday, ERA’s U12, U15, U17 and U19 played at the Tsakane Stadium against Young West Academy and the results were:

• U13: ERA 2 – 0 Young West
• U15: ERA 1 – 0 Young West
• U17: ERA 0 – 1 Young West
• U19: ERA 3 – 0 Young West
