Reedville – Reedville Angels hosted a two-day heritage netball tournament at the Reedville Sports Ground over the weekend.
Eight teams participated in the tournament, with three eliminated on Saturday and five playing on Sunday in the finals.
The five teams were VV, Reedville Angels (the hosts), Arsenal, Early Birds and Bright Stars playing in the U13, U17 and open divisions.
Arsenal won all three divisions.
The tournament organiser and Reedville Angels coach Thuli Skosana said, “This tournament’s purpose is to get girls active and remove them from the streets.”
She said girls now engage in drugs, and it can prevented.
“We have to get girls to focus in school,” she concluded.
