Pirates to face Sundowns in MTN 8 finals
Orlando Pirates and Sundowns to go head to head on Saturday.
Kwatsaduza – The MTN 8 Cup final will take place on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal between the defending champions Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
A Sundowns fan from the Greater Springs Branch, Mmeselane Ramoshu, said they will be playing against a strong team, therefore, they won’t take the match lightly.
“Last year in this very competition, we were knocked out by the very team we’ll be meeting in this year’s finals. We haven’t healed from the defeat, we are going to avenge ourselves on Saturday,” Ramoshu said.
He said Sundowns hasn’t won a lot in the MTN 8 Cup, however, they are going to win this one.
“League aside, we want this one and we’ll take it from the defending champions. My score prediction is 2-0,” he continued.
He said referees are human too and they make mistakes and fans should understand that.
Rangwane Makgabutlane of the Pirates Langaville Branch said, “Sundowns has had a great seven years in the league.
“Winning the league for seven consecutive seasons, their reign is ending this Saturday. We are going to win the cup final and that’s when the Sundowns’ seven years of drought will start as they’ll never win anything anymore after our match.”
Makgabutlane said Sundowns plays good football with a good squad but they won’t win on Saturday. He said all the other 14 teams in the league are hoping Pirates to end Sundowns’ reign.

“We are taking this, we are defending our title and we’ll win 1-0,” he said.
Makgabutlane said that those who don’t have tickets shouldn’t bother to leave Kwatsaduza for Durban as they will struggle to get tickets.
He said tickets were sold out and that will give criminals an opportunity to sell fake tickets.
“No matter the score at the end of the game, may the fans behave themselves and not throw things on the ground.”
