DCC and KTCC honour their founding fathers
Douglas Sibali and Prince Thethe were given portraits
Duduza – The Duduza Cricket Club (DCC) and Kwa-Thema Cricket Club (KTCC) honoured the two founders of the two biggest cricket clubs on the East Rand, Douglas Sibali and Prince Bonisile Thethe, on Saturday.
Mbuti Gavin Motaung of the DCC initiated this gesture and communicated this to Thami Mathibe of the KTCC, who jumped on the wagon because they shared the same vision.
“The main objective was to show appreciation and honour and thank our teachers/coaches for encouraging and allowing us to play cricket.
“While God has granted us the opportunity to be with them, we want to assure them that their legacy of promoting cricket within kasi-to-kasi will continue,” said Motaung.
The event was at the Douglas Sibali Oval in Duduza, and the two founders received portraits.
