Langaville Athletics Academy donates running kit

Thoko Ndlovu finished 19th while Ngqwala Banele finished 20th.

Kwa-Thema – Two athletes from Langaville Primary School received running shoes and tracksuits from Langaville Athletics Academy recently.

This is after the school reached out to the community for donations in preparation for the South African National Cross Country Championships on September 30.

The two runners, Thoko Ndlovu and Ngqwala Banele, finished 19th and 20th respectively.

Coach and teacher Lucia Sithole said she is proud of the team for making it to the nationals.

“Previously the team only managed to make it to the provincial leg of the competition. This is a big achievement for us. We are improving on our finishing time and speed which also contributed to qualifying for the nationals,” she added.

The teacher said that they are grateful for the donations and support they receive from the community.
