Kwa-Thema – The Nomndayi Community Games donated soccer socks to junior teams affiliated with the Springs Local Football Association (SLFA) at the Kwa-Thema Sports Complex on Thursday to give back to the community.
Nomndayi PRO Humphrey Sibande said, “We are based in Kwa-Thema, so it is only fair we start at home when giving back.”
He said some boys give up playing soccer because their teams do not have sponsors and they can’t afford soccer gear.
“This was the least we could do, and we hope it will encourage the boys to continue playing. If we had more, we would give more,” he concluded.
Nomndayi will also have its annual festive tournament from December 16 to 31 at the Ntokozweni Ground.
The tournament draw took place on November 10.
