Player bags medal at badminton Africa junior champs
Refiloe Tshabalala was part of the team playing for South Africa.
Duduza – Badminton player Refiloe Tshabalala is one of the medalists from the All Africa Junior Championships, which took place in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Tshabalala was part of the South African team which played in the tournament’s stream B. They beat Algeria 3-0 in the semis to face Egypt in the finals on Monday, where they also won 3-0.
Tshabalala’s club coach, Roller Mongala, said, “The management of Eyethu is very happy with Tshabalala’s achievement. We are proud of her.”
Mongala said Tshabalala joined the club when she was nine and has never looked back.
