Ambitious and talented are words which describe DJ Sablo, real name Sabelo Nkosi from KwaThema.
The 17-year-old Springs Boys High School learner started producing music and performing at 14 years, and is already making his mark in the country.
DJ Sablo’s latest hip hop song titled Black to Death debuted on YFM Hot 9’9 charts and currently sits at number seven.
His first major song Pusha Presa received thousands of downloads in its first week, and his other songs have been played on 5FM, GoodHope FM, including a jingle on Ukhozi FM Cleva unga give up.
DJ Sablo is growing his career and has established his independent record label called Platinum Plack Records.
“I believe the South African music industry needs more creative minds, anyone with a little talent must pursue their artistic abilities,” are his words of advice to other aspiring artists.
