The search for local netball teams is on

A series of netball games were played on Saturday, in an effort to identify the number of teams from Duduza.                The identified teams will be registered with the Ekurhuleni Netball Association, to play in the Ekurhuleni league. Kwatsaduza teams battled it out at the Multipurpose netball court in Duduza, playing from the under 11 to open team category.                                                                                                                                                                                                                           The event was a platform for teams such as Stars of Tomorrow, Masibambane, Thunder Birds, Chiefs and Silver Stars to make their debut and play their first games.                                                                                                                                                One of the organisers Thoko Skhosana said, “we have selected two female and one male team which will be playing in Ekurhuleni on Wednesday.”                                                                                                                                                                                     The next stop will be in Tsakane and Geluksdal on April 26, Thoko adds that the Kwatsaduza netball association invites all schools and netball teams to come and support.                                                                                                                                       The results from Saturday are: Stars of Tomorrow 2 vs Silver Stars 11, Barcelona 19 vs Stars of Tomorrow 8, Chiefs 8 vs Young Ones 6, Masibambane 8 vs Silver Stars 12, Small Poison 3 vs Chiefs 10, Thunder Birds 7 vs Masibambane 2.
