Born in Duduza and now on TV
Caddy was born in Duduza and is now a presenter on SABC one
Teboho “Caddy” Tsotetsi (22) was born in Duduza and is now making a name for himself in the entertainment industry.
Caddy, as he is known to his fans, went to Nigel Primary School then to Nigel High before studying to be a media consultant for two years at Boston College.
He is a brother to four of his siblings and says he loves music.
Caddy got the best dressed male award in 2011 on the Streets are Fed Up Awards (SAFUA) while in 2012 he got an award for the best fashion crew and last year he received the best personality award.
Among other things that Caddy is busy with, he is also a TV presenter on SABC.
He is on the TV screens every Monday and Tuesday, presenting the Teenager on a Mission (Tomz) show aired on SABC1 at 4pm. Despite his success, Caddy explains that it was not easy for him to get to where he is today and that he still wants more.
He says he did not allow his heart condition to stand in the way of achieving his dreams.
“I never made my heart disease an excuse to quit after seven years of auditioning without any luck,” says a passionate Caddy.
He also reveals that he is not only the perfect face for TV, but he is also a singer.
Caddy is a hip-hop, R&B and pop music artist.
His pop single named Leaving Soon was released in February this year and he is planning to release a full album one day, however, he says for now his focus is all on his presenting art.
When asked about what keeps him going, Caddy said he gets motivation and strength within himself.
“I have been through a lot, at an early age I lost my father and being raised by a single parent was not easy,” Caddy said.
He encouraged the unemployed youth who have lost hope, to become better people in the future.
He motivated them not to be afraid of a challenge but to start today to work towards building their better tomorrow.
“Coming from the dusty streets of the townships does not mean that we are not meant to be successful,” Caddy encouraged young people.
