Lusitano’s spinning lose against Junior Spinners

The Springs Local Football Association (SLFA) game between Lusitano and Junior Spinners ended with a 3-4 overall score.

The game for the U/13 teams was played at the KwaThema Sports Complex on Saturday.

It was clear that the teams worked hard to prepare for the game.

Both teams did not want to lose, however, it is the nature of the game that one team wins and the other one loses.

The first goal of the game was put behind the net by the Spinners’ scoring machine, Lethabo Maditlaba.

The weather that was so clear and hot allowed the teams to play to their best ability.

It was 10 minutes after Lethabo’s first goal when he scored another goal.

The Spinners’ supporters all stood up from their stands and sang songs of victory.

All that singing and rejoicing from the Spinners’ supporters did not last long as Ntokozo Msipha of Lusitano scored the first goal for his team.

Both team coaches then had hard work to coach their players.

Siyabonga Mofokeng of Lusitano scored an equalising goal.

The whistle was blown to end the first half of the game with both teams each having two goals.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Siyabonga Khumalo of Lusitano put a third goal behind the net for his team.

Spinners’ Lethabo could not relax until he scored a third goal for his team.

Just when the majority of the supporters at the complex thought the game was going to end by a 3-3 draw, Katlego Mmakola of Junior Spinners scored a winning goal, making the team the winners by 3-4.
