Opera festival in Tsakane
Tsakane – Residents of Tsakane will be treated to some opera music this coming weekend when the Opera Razzmatazz takes place.
The event will see the very best of opera musicians and instrumentalists showing off their skills on the day.
It features a fine cast of well-established Ekurhuleni soloists, pianists and chorus to entertain the crowd.
Also performing will be the Tsakane Buhle Melodious Choir under the baton of Xolani Mootane.
The choir has been in existence since October 2012, featuring in various competitions and musical activities around the country.
This event marks the choir’s maiden concertina in the area, an even more compelling reason for choir supporters and music followers from in and around Tsakane to come out and partake in the festivities.
Forming the song list are a range of exciting arias, ensembles and solos from works such as Attila, Don Con Carlo Giuseppe-Verdi, The Barber of Seville and Lucia Di Lammemoor, to name a few.
Those who delight in quality live music and appreciate local talent are invited to experience the event on May 8 at the Tsakane Old Age Home at 3pm.
