Sibiya shares new sound
Tsakane - Walter 'Hemlock550' Sibiya (23) is not just a hip-hop artist, but raps, sings and writes his own songs.
“I started rapping at the age of 14, and a year later formed a group called ‘Crazy Squad’ which consisted of 13 members.

“The group lasted for six years till we went our separate ways due to relocation and as I was seeking a solo career.
“Early last year I started working with different people including Thabo Maseko known as DJ Medical T, News Entertainment, Younger Presser and Hyper Africa,” he says.
Since December the rapper has been working completely independently.
And with the hope of getting someone more experienced to help him in the business, Hemlock550 turned to DJ Medical T for help.

“The two of us had met about four years ago while Hemlock550 was still with his crew.
“He then asked if I could push him individually as his marketing manager since I have a production company and I agreed.
“So I have been producing for him, mentoring and advising him and plan to push him to professional level.
“We are also currently busy promoting the Hemlock550 EP which consists of eight tracks,” says DJ Medical T.
Hemlock550 adds that when people listen to his music they can expect a different sound with positive messages as he writes about his own life experiences.
