Young models called to audition for KwaThema Fashion Week
“The fashion lovers will get a chance to witness upcoming designers' interpretation of the cultural theme.”
KwaThema – KwaThema Fashion Week is calling on local young models and designers to showcase their work during their upcoming event.
The season’s eighth event will be held as part of the heritage celebrations under the theme ‘Embrace your culture, and return to your roots’.
Event organiser Steven Monoki says they have seen young people forsaking their culture.

“They are adopting and embracing foreign cultures in the process losing their identity and roots.
“Our culture and heritage play an important role in shaping our society.
“The event will be held on September 24 at Ndaba Tree Heritage Park in KwaThema.
“We are trying to infuse different cultures on the runway while also celebrating 24 years of democracy.
“The fashion lovers will get a chance to witness upcoming designer’s interpretation of the cultural theme.
“We are celebrating our cultural diversity and unifying our cultural differences because we are a rainbow nation,” he says.
The auditions will be held on August 18 at Ndaba Tree Heritage Park.
