Local artist bags nomination
OGK4Lyf has been nominated in the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards 2021.
Tsakani – Local artist OGK4Lyf has been nominated in the Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards 2021, in the Best New Kwaito Artist category.
The announcement was made on June 16.
Kenneth “OGK4Lyf” Mathabela is a recording artist, producer, video editor and director.
The nomination is for his hit single Lokshin featuring KB The Suspect.

“It’s an honour being recognised for my craft and passion.
“I am hoping this opportunity will open other doors and inspire up-and-coming artists from my hometown and surrounding community.
“The goal is to put Tsakani on the map,” he said.
He added that it has been two decades of perseverance and hard work trying to break into the music scene.

In the category, he will be competing alongside the likes of Abokaukau, Buda Da Element, Castro, Mr Jovilove, Mtezman, Pizos, Slender Dee, Slo’ Makoya and Supr Red C.
The main event will take place on November 27 at Sun City Superbowl.
