Kwa-Thema -Mathu Mcube is one of the top nine finalists in the Miss Eco International South Africa 2022 pageant.
The annual beauty pageant promotes and raises awareness of environmental issues, eco-tourism and celebrates women with a passion for saving the planet.
“As South Africans, we are plagued with several social issues in our day-to-day lives, such as poverty, health and environmental issues including pollution and loss of biodiversity.
“As someone who holds a BA psychology honours, I hope to win the coveted crown and use my platform to represent Ekurhuleni while raising awareness, addressing environmental issues and empowering others with the knowledge to create a sustainable difference in the community,” she said.
