Artist makes big moves in the industry

He is featured on four songs on the new project, set to be released in the last week of November.

Tsakani – Geluksdal rapper, singer and songwriter Romeo Siphumelele Stokwe, popularly known as Rowmy Flamez, is making all the right moves in the entertainment industry.

The local artist was nominated at this year’s 011 Awards in the Best Newcomer category, won the Mzansi Hip-hop League competition, and was featured on DJ Sabby’s upcoming extended-play (EP).
He is featured on four songs on the new project, set to be released in the last week of November.
The EP will feature numerous artists from across the country and is his first major commercial project.

“The aim is to push until I get the recognition for my craft.
“I want to be known for my unique tone, versatility and the ability to switch to any genre,” said Flamez.
He stepped onto the scene as a battle rap MC in 2013 and released his debut single Sauce in 2017.

In October he released a joint mixtape, collaborating with artists Kiky Lemane and Prettyboi Jimmy, titled Landed: Quarantine Edition and is working on a brand new project titled R.O.M.E.O, set to be released next year.
He said his sound is influenced by the likes of Michael Jackson, Tech n9ne and Reason HD.“The likes of Reason have shaped my style from catchy high-pitched songs with heavy lyrical content, which is evident enough that he is superstar material,” he said.
He has shared the stage with the likes of A-Reece, Nadia Nakai, Kwesta, Touchline & Blxckie, to name a few.
