DJ Bubezi to make her music mark

“My brother, the late DJ Monde, used to spin vinyl, bringing life to many stages.”

Kwa-Thema – Former Miss Kwa-Thema and Kaizer Chiefs model Pearl Sampo is venturing into the entertainment industry.
The 46-year-old, who also goes by the name DJ Bubezi, recently completed her six-month training course to be a DJ.
Sampo said she has always loved music and grew up in a family that loved music.
“My brother, the late DJ Monde, used to spin vinyl, bringing life to many stages across the country. I knew one day I will be like him.

“I used to listen in when he was preparing his mixes and told myself that one day I will follow in his footsteps,” she said.
The seasonal entrepreneur will be launching her DJ career on Saturday at the Kwa-Thema Old Age Home.
“I love RnB and soul music, but I was trained in house music and will work on fusing the two genres as part of my brand,” she said.
She is encouraging people to follow their dreams and use all the opportunities they have at their disposal.
“Age doesn’t matter. If you are still alive, you have the opportunity to bring your dreams to life,” she added.
