New single from HyperTraps

Tsakani – Seventeen-year-old rapper Mongi Malwane, popularly known as HyperTraps, has released his first single Sloppy.
The rapper said music has been his passion since childhood.
“I understand that I am still young within the industry, which is why I have opted to work with experienced and talented people. I put my heart and soul into every song that I record.
“My raps are in isiZulu and English,” he said.

He said the single is about him confronting the naysayers and those who have doubted him.
“There are some people who do not take me and my music seriously. Nowadays, people will only support you when you make it.
“The journey has not been an easy one, especially since I am doing my matric this year. I still need to focus on my studies,” he said.
Malwane said fans can expect more music throughout the year. His role models include Lucasraps and Emtee.
