“Before I ventured into radio I used to play football. Unfortunately, due to a bad injury, I could not proceed and that’s when the radio bug took over.
“For me, it has always been about being someone that young people can admire. A role model that lives amongst them, someone they can walk up to and not these celebrities that they see on television,” explained Majola.
He studied radio broadcasting at the University of Witwatersrand.
To vote for him residents can SMS the keyword mamap 1734 to 47439. Each SMS costs R3. Free SMS messages do not apply.
“I want to win it for the station as we are celebrating 10 years this year.
“The win would mean so much to us as a young station that is determined to grow and reach a lot of people.
“I don’t remember us winning anything so far so, this would be memorable.
“Though being nominated on its own is a win for me,” he said.
