Tsakani police probe electrocution death after man’s body found with burn wounds in shack

Police are investigating an inquest docket after a man was found electrocuted with burn wounds inside a shack in Tsakani Ext 19.

Tsakani – Tsakani police officers were summoned to an address along Vukuzenzele Street in Tsakani Ext 19 on March 6, where a man died after reportedly being electrocuted.

“Upon arrival at the scene, officers were shown the lifeless body of a male, who was lying on the floor in a shack behind the main house.

“They further noticed that the deceased had burn wounds on his body,” said Ekurhuleni SAPS district spokesperson Captain Neldah Sekgobela.

The deceased was identified and certified dead at the scene.

An inquest docket has been opened.
