Duduza’s ‘Doctor Shoes’ uplifts Sizwesethu Primary learners with free shoe repairs

Free shoe repairs initiative boosts confidence and eases burden on struggling families

Duduza – Prayer ‘Doctor Shoes’ Tsotetsi has recently been restoring dignity one pair at a time at Sizwesethu Primary School.

The school has extended gratitude for his remarkable contribution to their learners’ well-being.

School principal, Vusimuzi Gule, said many of their learners come from disadvantaged backgrounds, where families often struggle to afford basic necessities such as repairing or replacing school shoes.

“Through his generous initiative, Doctor Shoes has visited our school to repair worn and damaged shoes at no cost, easing the burden on parents and ensuring that learners can attend school comfortably.

“This support goes beyond practicality.

“By restoring their shoes, he restores learners’ dignity and confidence, allowing them to participate fully in school life without embarrassment,” said Gule.

“Improved self-esteem plays a vital role in promoting regular attendance and a positive learning environment.”

Gule added that they are truly grateful for the positive impact this initiative has on the school community.

Sizwesethu Primary School thanks Doctor Shoes for helping learners walk with pride and hopes his kindness will inspire others to make a difference.
