Tec United and Young Stars United to contest Brakpan LFA championship playoffs

After an exciting 2025/2026 season, Tec United and Young Stars United will battle for the Brakpan Local Football Association championship title and a place in the SAFA regional playoffs.

Tsakani – The Brakpan Local Football Association extends heartfelt congratulations to all teams that participated in the exciting 2025/2026 season.

This season, Stream A consisted of 12 teams competing in Tsakani at Malandela Ground and Plus Ground, while Stream B featured 10 teams playing at Brakpan Stadium and Heavytile Ground.

“The season showcased great talent, commitment, and sportsmanship from all participating clubs.

“Special congratulations goes to Tec United for finishing at the top of the log and becoming the champions of Stream A.

“We also congratulate Young Stars United for topping the Stream B log standings,” said vice-chairperson of the association, Maria Makola.

The two teams will now face each other in the mini playoffs taking place on May 30 and 31.

The matches will be played on a home-and-away basis, and the overall winner will be crowned the Brakpan Local Football Association 2025/2026 season champion and will earn the opportunity to participate in the SAFA regional playoffs.

“We congratulate both teams on their outstanding achievements and thank all clubs of Brakpan for their participation, dedication, and support throughout the season.

“Best wishes to both finalists,” added Makola.
