Alberton Lions Club launch food collection at Brackenhurst store

Alberton Lions Club is calling on residents to lend a helping hand by donating essential food and household items during a food collection drive.

Alberton Lions Club is appealing to the community to support families in need through an upcoming food collection drive at Pick n Pay Brackenhurst.

The collection will take place on August 29 from 09:00 to 13:00, with residents encouraged to drop off donations in the trolleys positioned outside the store.

The initiative aims to collect essential food and household items to distribute to families experiencing hardship in the community.

Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable items, including 250g packets of rice, sugar, tea, coffee, mealie pap, pasta, soup, milk, tinned food and jams.

The Lions are also appealing for donations of toiletries, which can help provide much-needed necessities to families facing difficult circumstances.

Residents visiting Pick n Pay Brackenhurst on the day can place their donations in the designated collection trolleys outside the store.
