Vox Pop: Men have their say about Women’s Day

LIAM DAVIES: “I believe Women’s Day is needed because every other day is men’s day. It’s a good day to celebrate women’s rights and it reminds us all how important it is.”

THE RECORD wandered into town and asked a few guys whether they thought Women’s Day is necessary or not, and why. Here’s what the fellows shared with us.

PATRICK ZWANE: “We would not be here if it were not for women. So, I agree that Women’s Day is necessary. I think it should be Women’s Day every day.”
HENNIE NEL: “Yes, it is a good day and it is needed to celebrate women. What women do is wonderful and I’m happy that there is a day to honour them and make them feel special.”
JOHN MOGKOPE: “I do think women should be celebrated. Women’s Day is a good day because women are good. They give life to all humans, after all.”
DAVID GROB: “Women’s Day is absolutely necessary, in my opinion. They should be honoured for everything they do. However, for the sake of equality, there should be a Men’s Day as well.”
